Presenting at the 2026 National Blast Furnace Ironmaking Conference in Chengdu
Representing SIC™, co-founder Dr Ziguang Zhao and CTO Dr Jin Xie presented at the 2026 National Blast Furnace Ironmaking Conference, hosted by the Ironmaking Branch of the Chinese Society for Metals.
From 16 to 19 September 2026, the 2026 National Blast Furnace Ironmaking Conference (全国高炉炼铁学术年会) was held in Chengdu, Sichuan, hosted by the Ironmaking Branch of the Chinese Society for Metals. The theme was energy saving and carbon reduction, led by digital intelligence — technological innovation and high-quality development in blast furnace ironmaking.
Representing SIC™, co-founder Dr Ziguang Zhao and Chief Technology Officer Dr Jin Xie each gave a talk at the conference, sharing our team's progress on blast furnace modelling and its use in day-to-day furnace operation.
From Hefei to Chengdu
It was our second national ironmaking conference this year, after Dr Zhao's talk at the National Ironmaking Production Technology Conference in Hefei in April. The conference theme — saving energy and cutting carbon, with digital tools leading the way — is the problem SIC™ BF Smart Agent X is built for: helping plants see inside the blast furnace before they change how it runs.
